Burj Khalifa Residences

Oceanis was asked by Multiplex to contribute to creating a five-star guest experience at one of the largest developments undertaken in the United Arab Emirates at the time.

The Residences are some of the highest quality accommodation in the United Arab Emirates.  The client brief was for a unique five star guest experience similar to high end resort examples.  The design and landscaping merge contemporary Arabic and Western influences and incorporate numerous pools and water features – a signal of wealth in the middle-eastern world.

The pool area is over 1,600 m².  A 50 metre lap pool length has been designed internal to the pool, while the lagoon pool has 15 guest rooms that connect directly to it via private outdoor terraces.

Oceanis contributed to both the pool and water feature concept,

We conducted an extensive mock-up and prototyping process to demonstrate water feature effects and to fine-tune the design.

The detailed design and specification process then took into account the capabilities of the local contracting industry, for Oceanis to contribute to detailed equipment selection processes and commissioning.

The Burj Khalifa Residences are a landmark feature in a city known for its incredible architectural experimentation.  The pools, water features and landscaping make the Burj Downtown area one of the most desirable locations and destinations in the United Arab Emirates.
