Project Information

Boulevard Park Waterfront City is an integrated Dubai waterfront development with a large portfolio of pools and water features planned across multiple precincts. Oceanis provided waterfront city pool and water feature design consultancy, supporting a consistent aquatic vision across a staged, long-term masterplan. The result is a coordinated approach to varied water experiences—aligned with public realm, resort-style amenities, and wellness-focused destinations within the broader development.

Facility Overview

This visionary waterfront city spans multiple precincts and a multi-stage delivery program, requiring aquatic elements to remain coherent as the development evolves. Across the site, pools and water features are positioned to support destination-making, wayfinding, and amenity value—while responding to differing user contexts, operational expectations, and interfaces with the public realm.

Given the scale and staging, early decisions around design intent, standards, and coordination are critical to ensure consistent quality and maintainability over time.

Oceanis Role — Specialist Aquatic Consultancy for Large Waterfront Development

Oceanis provided specialist aquatic consultancy for a large portfolio of pools and water features, supporting design development and coordination across varied feature types and precinct conditions. The engagement focused on translating masterplan intent into deliverable aquatic outcomes, aligning performance expectations, durability considerations, and cross-discipline coordination so that water elements could be implemented consistently throughout a long-term, staged program.

Outcome / Impact

A clear aquatic design direction was established for a large, staged waterfront program, supporting consistency across more than 60 pools and water features as precincts evolve over time. By strengthening coordination between aquatic elements and surrounding architecture and landscape works, the project team could better manage interface risk and maintain visual quality across diverse settings. The approach also reinforced practical, long-term operational considerations—helping ensure water features contribute to destination value while remaining maintainable within the realities of a multi-decade development.
