Hovea Wellness Centre
Project Information
Oceanis provided specialist consultancy services for the aquatic elements of the Hovea Moon Temple, an architecturally significant project embedded in the natural bushland setting of Hovea, Western Australia.
The temple integrates a series of tiered water features of a bush pole fountain, an upper pond, and a lower pond, each contributing to the site’s contemplative and aesthetic vision.
Our role focused on developing hydraulic and water treatment systems that supported the artistic intent while ensuring technical integrity and long-term performance.
This included concept development, technical design integration, procurement documentation, and construction-phase support. The design process required detailed collaboration with the architectural team and the project’s structural engineers to ensure seamless coordination of aquatic infrastructure with pool forms, finishes, and service systems.
Throughout all phases of design and delivery, Oceanis applied a technically rigorous yet adaptive approach — balancing spatial and visual requirements with operational efficiency. Our systems coordination covered not only water circulation and treatment design but also interfacing with drainage, ventilation, lighting, and plant room services. The resulting integration supports water clarity, reusability, and a sustainable operating model aligned with the ethos of the site.
