Oceanis is pleased to have returned to the algae biotechnology aquaculture facility in Saudi Arabia this past week, now fully operational and demonstrating the effectiveness of integrated aquaculture design.

Working closely with our client, the Oceanis team designed the hydraulic performance elements and seawater management systems that enable this groundbreaking facility to thrive. The integration with the adjacent finfish aquaculture operation, where nutrient-rich water from fish farming fuels algae growth, showcases the innovative approaches being developed in the region.

It’s incredibly rewarding to see a project move from design through to successful operation, and to witness firsthand how collaboration between international teams can deliver truly sustainable aquaculture solutions.
Project Scope: Oceanis designed hydraulic performance elements and seawater management systems for an integrated algae-finfish aquaculture facility in Saudi Arabia, supporting the client’s vision for sustainable, circular aquaculture operations.
